Inside Bets

This refers to the wagers gamblers may place on the interior part of the table. Inside bets are less likely to succeed at roulette. However, they offer the highest payout. These are the options that are available inside bets.

American Roulette

  • Straight-up: Place a bet on one number that is on the table. The only way to succeed is when the spin hits the same number.
  • Basket: This is a five-number wager comprising 0, 001 2, 3, and 2 at the American Roulette table.
  • Triple: This bet combines the zero on the European table or the 00 on an American table and two connecting numbers.
  • Street: By placing your chip(s) on the edge of a three-number row, the street bet will payout when the spin hits any of the numbers in the row.
  • Corner (Square): If you place your chips in the area where four numbers cross the four numbers, you’ll be placing a bet on a corner. The bet pays less than the other roulette bets; however, it covers four numbers.
  • Five-Number: Also also known as the top line bet, the five-number bet is only available only to American roulette and can be found on the numbers 00, 0, 1,2, and 3.
  • Double Street: This is where you place your bets on two adjacent rows that make up six numbers.
  • Snake Bet: Covering 1 5 9 12 14 16 19 23, 27, 30 32, and 34, this bet forms an elongated snake across the table.
  • Split: You can divide two bet numbers by placing your chips on the line that divides the two numbers. You pay just half of the cost of a straight bet, and you can place a bet split on any two numbers that are close to each other within the wheel.

Outside Bets

Bettors employ this term to refer to all wagers that can be placed outside the table. Contrary to inside bets, outside wagers are more likely to succeed but offer fewer payouts.

American Roulette

  • Column: A bet on any of three vertical columns that comprise 12 numbers. It pays 2:1.
  • High/Low: Low bets are placed on the ball launching on 1-18. The high bet will be between 19 and 36. Both pay the same amount.
  • Colour (Red/Black): Choose red or black at the table. You will receive even money for any number that is black or red. Keep in mind the green zero and 00, which reduce your roulette odds.
  • Odd/Even: Much similar to the prior bet, this will pay you 1:1 when betting on odd or even numbers. This is the case for any odd numbers between 1 and 35.
  • Dozen: The table is divided into one 1st two 3rd as well as three 3rd twelve numbers. Bet on numbers 1-12, 13-24, or 25-36 to earn a 2:1 return whenever the spin hits an amount in the area that you have covered.

Are Roulette Odds Always the Same?

One thing to be aware of is that you’ll discover two American and European variations of the table game that is a classic. The primary difference between them is that the American version has two zero pockets instead of one (0 and 00). This means that getting a roulette table is higher for European games, which chooses to play European versions of the game, one of our most important casino rules.

Another thing to consider is the fact that roulette odds differ depending on the bet you pick. If you pick only one number, the roulette odds is 36: 1 in European-style games and 37 to 1 if you are playing the American version. The payoff, in either scenario, is 35 to 1.

However, if you choose to bet on black or red and you are betting on black or red, the roulette odds of the correct color are in the vicinity of 50%. The payout is based on a 1:1 ratio. It’s the presence of zeros, and zeros, in American games that prevent the 50 percent chance of happening. Thus you must take into consideration first how adventurous you’d like to be.
